3 of 5 customer service issues February 12, 2015

I paid for the optimizing and extreme update.  I have not been given the unlock code for the advanced features and was told the programmer was on vacation.  It has been over a month now and am still waiting.

5 of 5 The HomePatrol II is a great scanner! February 5, 2015
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
I’ve been using my new HomePatrol II for a few days now and I really like it. It’s a giant leap forward from my old BC200XLT that I bought back in the mid 80’s. I’ve not used it much for the past several years because it’s technology is so outdated. I knew that the police in my area had updated to a new trunked system, but what I didn’t know is that they are now using encryption so that no scanner can pick up they’re transmissions. It’s a real shame and I’m very disappointed. Let me say that I know that it’s not my new scanner’s fault... it works great. I still enjoy using it, I can still listen to the police and EMT’s from the little surround towns in my area and also the state police (it has very good receive range). I fear that the days of citizens listening to their local police on a scanner may be almost over, from what I’ve read on the internet this week this has happened in many areas and there seems not to be very much that we can do about it.

4 of 5 An HP-I with More Coverage January 8, 2015
Reviewer: Eric from Hyattsville, MD United States
Same menu, function layout and runs just like the HP-I. Will not accept the HP-I AC Adapter. This unit has no AC adapter port so it's strictly USB charging. Charging indicator LED on front panel illuminates red while plugged in to a powered USB. Only dislike is there may be a software glitch with the battery power monitor? It gives no readings below 3/4 charge before it alerts that it needs a recharge. Basically you would look at the charge indicator and believe you have plenty of reserve and you do not. Maybe faulty cells or not yet been through enough charge cycles to reach full capacity? Still annoying.

5 of 5 Good Scanner December 21, 2014
Reviewer: Kieran O'Hagan from Carmel, NY United States
Bought it to replace my 536 in the car (536 a bit too big for the new car). Bought it with the VERY secure suction cup mount. Scanner works nicely on conventional as well as P25, and is quite loud. Once you get everything set in Sentinel as to what you want, it's a breeze. It is connected to my GPS as well. I also want to thank ScannerMaster for recognizing me as a long time buyer, and for the quick shipping and easy ordering. Thank you!

Reviewer: Dave Wank from Wickliffe, OH United States
I have had the HP2 for a short time, but have gotten to see it great features.Nice to be able to play back transmissions that I am not sure I heard right.Very nice not to have to program this scanner. The HP is loaded with every frequency I think I will ever need.A little high priced but well worth it.
