Arrived in excellent order.  Set-up and initialization was perfect, basically plug-n-play.  Still customizing programming for my personal preferences, but all is going well.  Equipment and vendor highly recommended.

I have had many Uniden radios in the past, and most software has been really easy to use along with the radio.
This Whistler radio is a very nice radio. Luckily I had scanner master preprogram it for me! It is a very difficult radio for me to program, being used to Uniden. I think once I get used to it I "may" like it even more, but the only software Whistler will let you use is EZ Scan, and so far I hate it! It is extremely difficult for me anyway. I thought about buying the Uniden but they are very expensive! Plus you have to buy add on stuff that Whistler provides for free.

The unit has pretty well met all my expectations.  I would buy again at the sale price.  Object scanning concept was familiar to me because of having a GRECOM PSR600.  EZ Scan software is capable enough.  Interfaces between RadioReference and Whistler have been flawless, in my experience.  The audio quality of digital transmissions is better on the TRX than on my PSR.  I would say it took me about 3 days of 'tinker time' with features to become familiar enough to get what I want from the unit.

I love this radio scanner, the sensitivity, selectivity and audio fidelity are wonderful. In addition the service from scanner masters was fast, efficient, and professional.

The included SD card was not of much use in obtaining the Programming software so I went to the Whistler website and downloaded it.  To me the program was essential since I did not want to manually program this scanner.  Once over that hurdle, the operation of the TRX-2 is flawless.  Back screen stays lit and is easily read and SD card updates and holds data well.  This scanner exceeded my expectations.
