The Scanner Master Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Southern New Hampshire Communications (Pocket) Guide 11th Edition is available. The amount of data for each state has increased dramatically. There are literally thousands of new listings, critical police and fire frequency changes, hundreds of sub-audible tone/PL updates, new channel usage data, and much more. This edition probably contains more updates, corrections and new material than any previous edition as the communications landscape has drastically changed in the region -- so many departments, including entire counties, have transformed their radio systems. The book for just these two and a half states is 318 pages long, yet the book still fits handily in a shirt, coat or pants pocket. This is the indispensable bible of southern New England communications (excluding Connecticut this time) used by State and local police, fire and the news media. This book makes for a great gift!

What sets this book apart is in the details. We list every key frequency (all public safety plus many businesses) for each community, we also list how every frequency is used in exacting detail. Almost every frequency listed also has verified PL/DPL data. Next are chapters on state, regional and military radio systems. Details include unit designators, channel plans, sub-audible tones, selected radio codes, intercity networks, etc. Complete detail on all trunking systems including thousands of talkgroup IDs. Also included: Utilities, Colleges, Schools, Malls, Military, Airports, Railroads, News Media, Buff Networks and so much more. Not only is this guide handy, it contains information found nowhere else in print or on the web. Our editors spent thousands of hours researching the communications in the region and spoke with dozens of people intimately involved or informed about current and future radio system plans.

Scanner Master 11th Edition MA, RI & S. NH guide
I have ordered Scanner Master's 11th edition for MA, RI, and Southern NH several times. Even though the guide is 6 years old and going out of print, I still consider it a valuable aid in scanning. Not everyone knows of or has access to Radioreference. The fact that I keep ordering them should speak volumes of their worth.
