User Friendly - Great Features!

While at first glance it may seem to be a basic scanner with very few frills, I can assure you this is a very user friendly scanner with some great features. I have been pleasantly surprised.
While it does not offer "trunking" I did manage to find my local "trunked" frequencies via Radio Reference and program them into the "private" bank. Things were very active last night and I was able to follow the action without a problem. I particularly like being able to scan the various bands (13) for various transmissions.
If you are new like me and want to give it a try, this is a great little radio with which to get started and will offer many hours of enjoyment at a price that won't break the bank! Don't be fooled by its small size (good things come in small packages and this is no exception). I guess as I "mature" in the hobby I may want an additional radio with more features, but for now this is providing a ton of enjoyment!
