This scanner best feature is of course the programming. Very easy to use... The only complaint is the speaker....it is terrible, very low volume the radio needs to be close to your shoulder to hear properly... even a lapel speaker is useless..outherwise a great scanner for people with programming issues....

Well I have had it for awhile now and I really love it. First let me say that I live in central Maine and my review comes from an area that is not digital and wont be for 2 years at least.... I have checked with the Fire, Sheriff and Police regarding this matter. By the time we go digital there will be better scanners available. If the 107 goes digital I WILL buy it. I like the size, the sound, the reception, ease of operation but don't like that it does not have a belt clip or case of some sort, The software works great but there is a slight learning curve to the 107 and software but that is expected. I have already upgraded the firmware with ease. The workmanship is very good. The antenna is poor so I have chosen to use the Watson W-889 and the Austin Condor. Both are great scanner antennas. They work great for me! I use a standard magnetic mount for for the car. I also use a FM converter to listen to my scanner through my car speakers.
