So let me say this. The scanner is without doubt amazing and has so much potential. I don't regret purchasing the SDS100 even though I'm not in a simulcast area. However, let me point out 2 downfalls. FIRST, The internal speaker is awful. Fine for quiet areas or sitting right next to you. This can be easily overcome by using a Bluetooth transmitter or 3.5mm stereo cable to use on an external speak

Have had my sds100 for a few weeks now and it's everything I expected and more. Paired with the remtronix antenna I'm pulling in 2 counties away from me which I couldn't hear anything from them before. Super simple to program on sentinel and keep up to date on the database version and firmware. Worth the price imo.
