After 1 year still perfect
No issues, very protective. I actively wear this around every day as well as it has saved my butt from protestors a few times. Yes, I knew exactly where they were due to police response and I avoided them like the plague.

The better choice
Previously, I've owned the nylon case, from another vendor. Nice and light material but, no belt clip included; you had to use the OEM clip that came with the scanner which is notoriously weak. Due to this, my scanner wasn't always clicking onto the belt clip holder, causing my scanner to fall off my waist in more than one occasion.
