    I purchased this antenna for my BCD436HP. It has improved reception some but not as much as I had hoped. I live in a fairly well populated area so reception isn't a big issue. I was trying to improve reception in the fringe areas.
    I originally wanted the WSMA-881, but it has been out of stock for some time now.

    With that said, what I really like about this antenna is the swivel base which allows me to lay the scanner down on its back and point the antenna up. With the antenna screwed firmly into the scanner mount, it doesn't point straight up at 90 degrees, but close enough. This is why I rated it 4 stars instead of 3.

    Reception seems good with this antenna but it doesn't swivel like the antenna that comes with the Home Patrol scanner which makes positioning it difficult
