After doing my homework and research and reading as many reviews as I could find on this antenna, not only on the ScannerMaster website but other websites as well, I came to the conclusion that this was the antenna that I was looking for. I was not disappointed in the work put in researching this item, it has been the single greatest improvement that I have made to my scanner since owning it. For that reason, I will be purchasing another antenna soon for my other radio soon, yes I did try the antenna on both radios with improved reception on both units. Thank you ScannerMaster, you guys are the greatest.

Awesome antenna on this band and 800 MHz as well
I just got this antenna for Fathers Day and WOW what an improvement on these bands ! I have been able to pick up a couple of things that my Diamond RH77CA wouldn't. I will be using this for railfaning for sure ! I have been able to pick up the local short line railroad a lot better with this. I noticed a lot more clarity on the SO and neighboring cities PD and FD as they are VHF. Does well on 800
I put this antenna on a GRE PSR-310.Does a real nice job of pulling in Railroad and Marine traffic and does a respectable job on VHF low band and UHF band fire traffic. It does fine on a EDACS 800 system coming off a mountain less than five miles away. On a weather channel it has a five bar signal strength, same as a Diamond RH-77CA even though it is shorter. The BNC connection is shielded
