The Uniden WiFi Dongle is used with "Uniden Siren" app to connect your iPad/Android/ Tablet/computer to remotely control the scanner under the same wireless network.
The scanner has two different Wi-Fi connection modes - Infrastructure Mode and Access Point Mode:
Infrastructure Mode is able to connect to an Access Point device. With this mode, all you need to do is a set a password. In a few cases, there is no password needed with the Access Point unit.
Access Point Mode is able to connect with up to 5 clients. Setting parameters are as follows: SSID, Security type, and Password.
Note: Dongles have the latest firmware from Uniden V7.X - Firmware Updates
