New from Scanner Master is this unique nylon travel case designed specifically for the Uniden HomePatrol. The case protects the radio during transport and use. Inside the travel case holds the radio in a sectioned, ruggedized compartment, which keeps the radio firmly in place. The radio is then covered by clear plastic, with cutouts for the speaker, through which you can see the HomePatrol display and operate the radio. Cutouts on the side of the case allow you to access all the power, GPS, audio and remote control ports of the radio as well as the antenna jack. Another section of the case can be used to hold the AC and DC power cords, GPS, antenna, extra batteries, etc. The case includes a handle for easy transport and a zip top. What makes this case so great is that you can not only use it to transport your HomePatrol safely, but you can also use the radio in the case with the antenna extended out from the side and angled up. So it's great for use in the car, perhaps on the seat next to you, when you want to protect the radio from most spills and scratches but also use the radio at the same time.

This case is advertised as being usable due to the cutouts on the side of the case.  Truth is that the cutouts do not match the radio plugs at all if you leave the protective foam in and the radio flops around if the foam is removed.  You cannot possibly use the radio with the GPS plugged in as the plug will either not fit in or risk breaking if the foam is removed.  I do not recommend the case if you are buying to use as a travel case while plugged in.  Therefore the case is of little value to me.
