I read some reviews online regarding SMA to BNC adapters. I saw some posts about this particular SMA to BNC adaptor. Quite a few people complained of it breaking at the swivel.
I just got mine and figured I'd put it through the tests since I needed one with my new Home Patrol scanner & favorite BNC antenna.
It does appear to be two pieces and seemed somewhat solid at first. I used my favorite BNC antenna with the adapter to my Uniden Home Patrol.
Thing is, I move my Home Patrol from the house into my car where I have a mounted mobile BNC antenna. Within a few days, the SMA to BNC adapter broke at the swivel and out popped a small "o" ring.
In my opinion, this adapter is not to be put on and taken off regularly. In reading the other reviews, I have seen other SMA to BNC adapters that are one piece and more solid. I hope that Scanner Master will carry these soon!
