This antenna from SpectrumForce is a tiny tuned powerhouse on the UHF 440-512 MHz and 700/800 MHz public safety scanner bands. It's very small, preferably mounted vertically, and can be placed inconspicuously in a front or back windshield of a car or any window of a home.

The antenna comes with 10' of RG-174 cable with SMA connector for connecting to most scanners.

Performance on UHF and 700/800 MHz is markedly improved over stock wide band antennas on these bands (but will not outperform a gain outdoor antenna if one could be mounted).

I bought this to try and get a small antenna outside to run on my SDS100. Unfortunately, I have 1 area to run it out, that I wouldn't normally use my scanner. It did work great on testing it out there. However, the main area I wanted to use it has trees and obstacles and couldn't get it up far enough in the clear. Ultimately, the area I did use it and had it working properly, it performed very good. I would say this is really location and obstacle dependent for anyone. I'm also in a rural low signal area.

excellent antenna
very good antenna if you don't want an antenna mounted outside on the vehicle, car washes are hard on those, mounted mine on the inside of the small window left rear of vehicle, we have 800 MHz system for law etc. works perfect

Awesome Antenna

Best UHF Antenna for the Money
Work’s great did not think it would pull in them week signals but it did and easy to conceal behind my bedroom dresser which the back is facing the window.
