This is a simple hook up:
Step One – Run your antenna coax cable to “Input’ on the SP-1300
Step Two – Connect “Output A” to Scanner One via BNC
Step Three – Connect “Output B” to Scanner Two via jumper cable (sold separately)

SP-1300 splitter can be used with HF and VHF receivers and scanners as well as in other receive and measuring applications where a need to combine or split RF signals exists.
SP-1300 is primarily designed to split signal from one VHF antenna into two receivers – scanners. Hence the input BNC female and output A BNC male connectors which enables the splitter to be inserted between the antenna and receiver. The other output B uses a BNC female connector that assumes a short jumper cable with BNC male connectors on each end for connection with the other receiver.
SP1300 is a passive splitter of a conventional design with hybrid wide band transformer with teflon insulation and frequency compensation circuit. The insertion loss is only 0.5 dB up to 100 Mhz which rises towards higher frequencies, this is in addition to the obvious 3 dB loss due to splitting into two halves.
If there is a need to split the signals into more than two receivers, SP1300's can be used in series. If an antenna preamplifier is used the additional loss of the splitters will not noticeably deteriorate the resulting signal to noise ratio.
SP1300 is power passive which means that it cannot be used with a preamp powered via coaxial cable. No DC or AC voltage must be connected to any of its connectors or damage to the splitter or power supply will result.
The inputs and outputs are galvanically connected to earth which protects the sensitive receiver input against damage caused by static. This is especially useful if a discone or other antenna which is not galvanically connected with earth is utilized.
If your receiver/scanner has connectors different from BNC (SMA, N, SO239), use appropriate adapters or cables.
SP1300 is designed for low signal applications and cannot be used with transmitters or a damage will result to it. It can only be used for receive applications or with RF generators with lower output levels.
