Love it. December 24, 2021 Reviewer: Tyler Van Heule from Lander, WY United States   Great scanner.  It is worth paying the little extra to have them program what you would like to have on the scanner.   Mine came ready programed and ready to turn on out of the box.  It has very clear sound with bright display and read outs. I can program only one town but not the county . did not include a way to put in my car. Recent purchase of a Whistler WS1065 April 14, 2016 Reviewer: Thomas Buckley from Long Island City, NY United States   I recently purchased a WS1065 in order to program a bunch of trunking frequencies in my New York City Metropolitan area.  This scanner was wonderful except for the instructions that came with the radio which I think are just about useless. My advice to prospective buyers of this radio is that you don't DARE trying to program this yourself using the enclosed instructions. Instead, I highly recommend buying a copy of the ARC500 program and use that to program the scanner by going to the Radio reference web site and download the frequencies from there. This is true ESPECIALLY if you are going to program in trunking frequencies. If you use the enclosed instructions for the radio, you will get hopelessly lost in a very short time. After I finished programming in all of my trunking and conventional frequencies, I was very happy with this radio. The man who wrote the instructions for this radio ought to be taken out and SHOT. WS1065 September 30, 2014 Reviewer: Robert Blankinship from Winchester , VA United States   Had it for a few days now works nice, good audio and very sensitive front end. Downloaded my local stations   from Radio Reference using ARC500 basic no issues with receiving P-25 stations.  A good value for the price. Was this review helpful to you?
