Not bad a bit pricey. September 25, 2018 Reviewer: Matthew from cleveland, OH United States   A nice replacement antenna. Does improve signal strength over the stock antenna on my bcd396xt. However only slightly. Depending on your situation may not even be worth the cost. Which seems a bit on the high side.  That being said it is a nicely constructed antenna looks nicer than stock. Great Antenna February 27, 2018 Reviewer: Scott Lowry from Bloomingdale, IL United States   I was looking for a replacement for the "stock" Uniden antenna for my BCD436HP. The stock antenna didn't really perform very well on VHF and UHF. I had heard about the WSMA-801 and decided to give it a try. I am very pleased with the improved reception of this antenna without it being excessively long. In fact, I'm so pleased with it, I'll be ordering 2 more to replace the stock antennas on my BR330T and my BCD396XT. I highly recommend this antenna. Was this review helpful to you?

WSMA-801 Antenna November 8, 2016 Reviewer: David Dombrowski from Grand Island, NY United States   WOW. What a difference.  I put it on my 396XT, which did have good reception with the basic antenna, but improved 100% with this antenna.  Worth every penny.  Highly recommend. OK Performance October 2, 2013 Reviewer: Edward Bobo from NY, United States   The “WSMA-801 Regular Gainer” appears to be well constructed and fits perfectly on the bearcat BCD396xt. Although slightly longer than the originally rubber ducky antenna the WMA is thinner and much more flexible, so it does not make the scanner, overly top-heavy. Most of my scanning is in the 45.00 to 454.00 range. Within this frequency range I did notice a slight improvement, over the originally rubber ducky antenna but frankly not enough to justify the price. The results with this antenna where no better than an antenna form one of my, commercial two-way radios, which are ½ the price. Was this review helpful to you?
