This is the wire replacement antenna for mobile scanners. It's a reasonable option for those who don't want to mount an outside antenna on their car. The wire antenna suction cups to the inside of the windshield or any other glass (vertical polarization best). Comes complete with a SMA connector to connect to just about any mobile or portable scanner.

An outside scanner antenna, out from under the steel roof of a car or truck, is always going to perform better than an antenna mounted inside your vehicle, but this antenna has proven to do a decent job on all bands and stay out of your way.
