This is the wire replacement antenna for mobile scanners. It's a reasonable option for those who don't want to mount an outside antenna on their car. The wire antenna suction cups to the inside of the windshield or any other glass (vertical polarization best). Comes complete with a BNC connector to connect to just about any mobile or portable scanner.

An outside scanner antenna, out from under the steel roof of a car or truck, is always going to perform better than an antenna mounted inside your vehicle, but this antenna has proven to do a decent job on all bands and stay out of your way.

Good little antenna	December 30, 2018

I use this antenna in the house with a tabletop Bearcat scanner (BC365CRS).

My house is at the bottom of an embankment about 40 feet below a highway and that wall of earth really blocks radio signals.

I mounted the suction cups to a window that has a pretty good unobstructed line of sight. This is the only antenna that works for this scanner in this particular location..

This is a very good internal antenna. It doesn't work as good as I had hoped, but does work much better than I expected it would.
