| Scanner Stand for 4 Base Scanners |
 This new
4-scanner
Desk Mount, built with strong sheet-metal, allows you to attractively mount
and display between one and four base or base/mobile scanners that are
approximately 7 to 7.5" wide. You can mount any combination of the following
Uniden Bearcat Scanners: 760, 780, 785, 796, BCT15, BCD996T; GRE PSR400 and
PSR600; and a variety of Radio Shack models including the 2053 and 2096 and
similar models. Space between the scanners allows the audio from the speaker to
be clearly heard.
Stands
for two and three base scanners are also available. Our
portable
scanner stands accept either one, two or three portable scanners of
different sizes, shapes and from a variety of manufacturers. |
| Nashua NH Re-Bands! |
The city of Nashua New Hampshire has just re-banded their Motorola
trunking radio system, completely changing their frequencies and requiring, for
Uniden (digital) TrunkTracker users, a firmware update to their scanners
(re-banding updates are available now for many Uniden models through
Uniden.com). Information on GRE firmware and re-banding can be found at
www.greamerica.com. Without the re-banding update and programming of the new
frequencies you will no longer be able to hear Nashua, and other re-banded
system, unless you listen in conventional mode, but then you will be unable to
follow conversations. It's like going back to the dark ages of scanning in the
early 1990's!
If you live in the Nashua area, or if you live in just
about any area with Motorola trunking, and you have older TrunkTrackers, such
as the BC780 or most RadioShack models before the PRO-96 and 2096, you will
almost certainly have to purchase newer scanners that are capable of re-banding
if you want to be able to continue to monitor and track these Motorola trunking
systems.
