This is a high performance preamplifier designed for wideband scanners. It is inserted between antenna coax cable down lead and the scanner. It will provide a useful increase in signal strength and help pull in those very weak distant signals. It also fulfils the additional role of rejecting out of band signals.

We suggest the following AC adapter to power this pre-amp: AD140U AC Adapter

* 25 - 2000MHz
* Gain 6 - 20dB
* Requires one 9-volt battery or external 12 volt power supply @ 10-15mA
* 50 Ohms BNC
* Size 95 x 50 x 33mm
* Weight 180g c/w BNC - BNC patchlead

This Excellent Pre Amplifier bring in signals from over 100 miles away both Analog and Digital. It is also small and not to big. I also use the Uniden AD-140U AC Adapter
