Basics

The “Scanner-Blaster” amplified lapel speaker for Uniden scanners is just the thing for noisy environments! This powerful and robust lapel speaker has an internal audio amplifier powered by an included rechargeable battery. It will provide loud and clear audio from your handheld scanner and help preserve the scanner battery life as well since you can keep the scanner volume so much lower.

Using this lapel speaker is easy. Just plug it into the earphone jack and go! The battery is rechargeable by the included USB charger and cable.

This lapel speaker works great on all current Uniden scanners. While it will work with GRE/Whistler/RadioShack scanners at normal volume, those radios are wired differently so the amplifier will not work.

The Scanner-Blaster Lapel Speaker works great for rail-fanning, plane watching or any other scenario when the limited volume of a scanner is not enough. If you use your scanner in a high-noise environment you need the Scanner-Blaster from Scanner Master!

  • Professional Series.
  • Rubber overmold.
  • 2 Audio ports with locking cams (patent design). Audio Ports are on BOTH Top & Bottom to enable wearing the radio on either the front or the back!
  • Contoured edges for grip and feel.
  • Includes the Battery (K70BATT-1020) and Micro USB Charger (VALOR-CH) in the box at no additional charge.
  • 3-Year Warranty through Valor
(ScannerMaster recommends that users remove the battery when not in use to prevent drain.)

5 of 5 Best speaker ever August 10, 2018

This product works "excellently". It provides the same  audio of the more expensive Motorola hand mikes carried by Law Enforcement. It's crisp, clear, and loud, doesn't take much. I'm very satisfied with this product.

2 of 5 No on/off switch leaves speaker dead after a day. January 1, 2018

The unit apparently is "always on" This leaves on with a rather short window to use it, six or so hours before it battery needs recharging. Unfortunately this won't work for me so I am returning it, I hope they fix this somehow because otherwise it' a solid piece of work with great amplification

2 of 5 Very Durable but has an issues September 13, 2017
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from United States
This speaker mic is built like a tank, easy to grip, and the audio is loud. Works well in noisy environments. The main problem is there is no on/off switch to prevent battery drain when not in use. If you forget to remove the battery, the mic will be dead next time you use it. Another problem is when turned up loud, the audio doesn't distort but sounds very tinny.
