wow - now I read the reviews after the fact April 30, 2014

I will let you know after I get it...... more to follow
UPDATE - Just received the case today.
It was a snug fit for sure. But, it was workable. You do have to remove the metal belt clip post on the back of scanner. Also, I did stretch the top portion of the case just a little to slide over the rubberized buttons. All the front buttons are in full view. The top portion of display is a littlecut off but fully readable. After a while, this being nylon, it will give some. Overall a good fit. The scanner I own is the Uniden Bearcat BCD396T

Sure hope this helps.

If it would fit April 2, 2014
Reviewer: Richard Brown from Catlettsburg, KY United States
Could have been a nice case if it fit but it was much too tight for my 396xt. After I got the scanner in it once & back out I said never again, it was so tight I was afraid of damage to the mode/function buttons if it was used again. It may work on some other scanners ut it DID NOT FIT A 396XT.

Not as good as it looks September 11, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from San Francisco, CA United States
This case offers some protection, but not much functionality. The scanner does not fit inside the case properly, unlike what the picture shows. The top part of the display is cut off and the top row of buttons are right up against the seam, making it difficult to use. It's also hard to use the USB cable since the side opening is down too far. If you're just looking for something to slide the scanner into to protect it for storage or travel, then it will work alright for that purpose, but you would think that they would at least give us a case that actually fits the scanner the way it should.
