4 of 5 Does what it claims to do--which is awesome! November 25, 2010
Reviewer: from Michigan
I searched for a long time to find a radio that can sync local radio play-by-play announcers with the action on TV.  The SportSync radio was designed for just this purpose. It provides enough delay to cover any game scenario.

Here's why I didn't give it 5 stars: the unit looks like an old-fashioned transistor radio, which is kind of cool.  But it also sounds like one, which is not.  There is a headphone jack that will allow you to run it through a better set of speakers--the cable is provided.

There is also a significant fidelity cost when using the delay feature, but it doesn't matter much when I'm listening to play-by-play.  As long as I can understand what's being said, that's all that matters.

Those sound quality issues are bad,  but that delay function is exactly what I need and I did not find one single other radio that has it, so I'm thrilled.  I think four stars is fair.
