This slim, handsome 7 3/4 inch long rubber-duck antenna provides a great reception boost on 700 and 800 MHz channels over stock antennas. Available in the SMA connection only for Uniden 396 and 346T and XT models. Whether you're monitoring in this band trunked or conventional channels, analog or digital, this antenna is a fantastic choice. Testing at our office confirmed the pulling power of this antenna was on par, in some cases, with outdoor roof-mounted wide-band scanner antennas - we were pulling in the Rhode Island State trunking system from 15 or so miles away! (your results may vary). So impressed were we with the performance of the antennas that we purchased a very large quantity and thus we're able to offer them to you at a very reduced price.

Pretty good antenna... May 1, 2013

Had this a couple of weeks now. Good reception on an 800mhz trunked system. Also good reception on conventional UHF and VHF in my area.

I only have one issue with this antenna. It does not screw on the sma connector on my 396xt all the way. The is about 1/8 inch of threads that show when the antenna is screwed on tight.

initial results March 27, 2013

I've only had this a day, but while driving in my car this morning, I was sporadically picking up St. Louis City Fire in P25 800 Mhz system.  This is pretty unusual from a handheld scanner on the Illinois side of the river unless you're much closer
