GRE, a Japanese-based manufacturer of police scanners for decades under the RadioShack label and their own brand-name GRECOM, has unfortunately shut-down their manufacturing operation as of September 2012 due to financial constraints. They hope to re-start or sell their business with the goal of continuing the manufacture of their well-regarded products. Scanner Master to have a very limited stock of their radios which GRE America has promised to continue to support.
