This hard leather case for GRE PSR-300 and the RadioShack Pro-164 and PRO-97 portabe scanners is designed for the user who wants the most protection and most flexibility in a case design. Using a public-safety style design, the case comes in two parts. You swivel clip is slid onto your belt and then the case itself snaps down onto the clip. If you want to remove the radio from your belt you simply swivel the radio, in the case, upside down and gently pull up. This allows you to pull the radio off your belt easily but leave it in the case. For all other designs using the belt loop style, you must either remove the entire case from your belt or you must pull the radio out of the case (which you leave on your belt) to remove the radio.

The thick hard leather protects the scanner from scratches and from most drops. Openings in the leather allow easy access to all keys, speaker grilles, top and side audio and computer jacks, the display, etc. An optional small bungee strap is provided for extra security against the radio accidentally slipping out of the case. The cord is wrapped around the bottom of the rubber-duck antenna but the cord can easily be removed by if so desired. Slots at the top of the case and a hole at the bottom of the case allow you to easily pull or push the scanner out of the case if it's found to be extra snug. This case design has been sold for many years with very wide acceptance.
