I just bought this the other day for my Radio Shack Pro96 scanner and WOW what an improvement ! I live an area where several agencies use one system which is 800 MHz antenna and the other night I picked up 2 highway patrol posts one is an hour away and the other was to the north west of that one in another county ! It does well on the 150-162 MHz range for some local PD's as well as the local railroad ! This antenna is worth every penny !!

Better Reception at All Bands!

I bought this for my PSR-500 because I was having some 800MHz reception issues w/ NJSP. The SNR with this antenna is unbelievable! And it attenuates the lower frequency bands (i.e. VHF) just enough that even they come in more clearly (since the PSR-500 seems to be overly-sensitive in the VHF bands). It works significantly better for all bands than the stock antenna. I highly recommend!

Tried this out on my Pro-197 base scanner, workds very well, equals the stock telespic on alot of freq's, and even a little more on others,,All in a nice compact size...Good work Gre, and Scannermaster for carring this model antenna !!
