These specialized Garmin GPS receivers that work superbly with the Uniden scanners which are GPS-controllable. These are high-quality, ultra-accurate Garmin receivers that rapidly access the satellites and transmit position data back to the scanner. Scanners such as the BCD996XT, BCT15X, BCD396XT, and BC346XT can use that data to automatically enable and disable systems (and groups) based on the user's location.

Base/Mobile Scanner Hook-up
The Garmin DB-9 connector would attach to the back of the base/mobile scanners.

Portable Scanner Hook-Up
Portable scanners such as the BCD396XT and BC346XT can be connected using the Uniden 4' Serial Cable supplied with the scanner. Two adapters would be needed Gender Changer and Null Modem Adapter which can be purchase below. Then this would attach to the Garmin DB-9 connector.

The Garmin GPS Receiver is powered by the cigarette lighter adapter supplied with the GPS Receiver.
