I have used various Chevrolet Suburbans for almost 20 years as a 'ham' radio operator. The mounts that I have used like this were both Diamond and Comet. They are highly reliable mounts as long as you don't hit anything low to the base of the antenna used. Since the RG-174 is very thin and not as mechanically strong as the rest of the cable, I usually take 3 shrink-wrap tubes and carefully applying heat layer about 3 inches of this cable exactly were it meets the rubber door seals. I have excellent results on 6M, 2M, 222MHz, and 440 MHz with antennas up to about 45 to 50 inches.
