Details

MCA204 is an active multicoupler designed to distribute antenna signals to four receivers without loss and with high isolation between ports. It is specifically suited for signal intercept stations, both fixed or mobile platforms. It can be used in any VHF/UHF monitoring post using receivers, scanners or spectrum analyzers.

MCA204 has a mechanical and electrical design construction that can meet any government, military or commercial specification. This unit will give high performance results in any radio monitoring post.

The basic use of the receiver multicoupler is to enable several radios , or scanners, to share a common antenna system. The advantage of using a multicoupler in signal monitoring applications were several receivers are used (such as in SIGINT/COMINT), is in the port-to-port isolation of the coupler. Isolation will reduce the possibility of RF interaction between receivers caused by local oscillators, synthesizers, etc. If an external pre-amplifier, receive filter or lightning protection device is used, only one is needed to service several receivers.

Both Passive and Active broad-band models as well as narrow-band specialty couplers are manufactured to meet a multitude of HF, VHF and UHF monitoring applications. Standard port configurations from 2 up to 8 are available. These units are designed to meet government and commercial radio monitoring demands as well as the general hobby market. Active models include broad-band low-noise amplifiers, front-end protection, and, depending on model, input High-Pass or Low-Pass Filters.
Choose from one of the two length options for connecting the multicoupler to the scanner.

Well... Scanner Master did a good job in delivering.
Installed and I have questions re if my receiver is in overload when the multicoupler is on or what happens when the power is off ????

I have called for 2 weeks straight and there is no one to answer... only a answering machine!!! I don't know ???

Analog and digital on the same antenna March 16, 2011
Reviewer: John Arsenault from Gilbert, AZ United States
A must if you are connecting analog and digital scanners on the same antenna. For years I daisy chained multiple analog scanners to a single roof mounted discone with good reception. When I added a BCD996T to the chain the reception was terrible. It was worse than just having the scanner mounted antenna. I was considering multiple antennas. With the multicoupler installed reception is excellent on all my scanners digital and analog. I'm getting good coverage of the entire Phoenix RWC digital system here in the SE suburbs.

Stridsberg MCA204M VHF/UHF Receiver Multicoupler March 9, 2011
Reviewer: John - W2RJO from Poland, NY United States
If you are hesitant on ordering one of these.. don't be! Well worth the money! Connect 4 scanners with no signal loss and no interference. I also use PAR filters on the multicoupler input. I attenuate the FM broadcast band and a strong NOAA weather transmitter. Running 2 - BCD996XTs, 1 - BCT15X, and 1 - BC785D... all with excellent receive thanks to this nice little multicoupler. As I said well worth the money!
